The Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics cohort of fellows represented a diverse group of young scholars of philosophy, law, government, sociology and anthropology, coming from top institutions in the US (Harvard, Chicago, UCLA), Europe (Science Po, UCL, EUI) and Israel (Hebrew, TAU). Their prior work is highly impressive. The research programs they pursued at the Center covered exciting topics such as: Should citizenship be fo sale? What are the constitutional dimensions of Airbnb? What are the normative implications of the transition from a political economy of private property to one of risk? How does Israel’s welfare state face the challenges of universal social insurance? How has marketization and migration triggered “temporary marriages” and transformed notions and practices of love and marriage in China?

Alongside their research, the fellows participated in a set of advanced research seminars, and a weekly colloquium to discuss foundational texts and presented their personal projects.
